Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of the MooCheck app and this website, made by Night Ferry Labs ("we", "us"). They apply together with Apple's standard license agreement for apps. By using MooCheck, you agree to them.
What MooCheck does, and its limits
- MooCheck helps you spot milk ingredients on food labels. It's a helper, not the final word.
- Photos can be misread, the AI can make mistakes, and product data from Open Food Facts can be incomplete or out of date. Recipes change, and a product's label can differ from its database entry.
- Always read the label on the package before you buy or eat something. You're responsible for that decision.
- MooCheck doesn't give medical or nutritional advice. Calorie figures are read from labels or estimated, and may be wrong.
Subscription
- MooCheck needs a subscription: $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year (US prices; other countries may differ), each with a one-time 7-day free trial.
- Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- A subscription includes up to 100 AI checks a month, or 25 during the free trial. Barcode scans and the on-phone check are unlimited. We may pause AI checks briefly if the service is overloaded.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
Fair use
Use MooCheck for checking food, for yourself and the people you shop for. Don't try to get around the AI limits, reverse engineer the service, or use it to build another product.
No warranty
MooCheck is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise that results are accurate, complete or available at all times.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential harm from using MooCheck or relying on its results, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for MooCheck in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant, we'll mention it in the app.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA.
